Omkareshwar


Omkareshwar is situated at almost center of india. Omkareshwar is a Hindu temple dedicated to God Shiva. It is one of the 12 revered Jyotirlinga shrines of Shiva. It is on an island called Mandhata or Shivapuri in the Narmada river. Omkareshwar is one of the major religious places near Indore.

The Thrissur Pooram

The Thrissur Pooram is considered to be the Mother of all Poorams, a culture highlight that towers above all other festivals .Thrissur pooram is a festival unique in its pageantry, magnitude and participation. It is not a mere temple festival in its strict sense but at the same time it is the festival of festivals of Kerala.


The Thrissur Pooram, celebrated in the Malayalam month Of Medom (April-May) is a grand assembly of Gods and Goddesses in and around Thrissur. These Gods and Goddesses make their visit to the Vadakumnathan Temple premises on caparisoned elephants accompanied by grand ensembles of Chenda melam and pancha vadyam.


The pooram starts with the ceremonial entrance of "Kanimangalam Sastha" pooram through the southern goupuram at 7 am.This is followed by the arrival of Panamukkampilly Sathavu, Chembookavu Karthiayani Devi. Karamukku Karthiyani Devi, Choorakkottukavu Durga Devi, Ayyanthole Karthiayani Devi,and Naithalakavu Bhagavathi . Paramekkavu Bhagavathy and Thiruambady Bhagavathy escorted by Krishna.


Thrissur Pooram - Format
The participant poorams are divided into two parts namely "Paramekkavu side" and "Thiruvambady side". The Paramekkavu side consists of besides "Paramekkavu Bagavathy".

1) Pookattikkara-Karamukku Baghavathy, 2) Choorakattukara Baghavathy, 3)Chempukkavu Baghavathy, 4) Panemukkumpilly Sastha. Besides Thiruvambady Baghavathy, the Thiruvambady side is having 1) Ayyanthole Baghavathy 2) Nethilakkavu Baghavathy 3) Laoor bagavathy 4) Kanimangalam Sastha.

Manipuri dance is one of the major Indian classical dance forms. It originates from Manipur, a state in north-eastern India on the border with Burma. In Manipur, surrounded by mountains and geographically isolated at the meeting point of the orient and mainland India, the form developed its own specific aesthetics, values, conventions and ethics. The cult of Radha and Krishna, particularly the raslila, is central to its themes but the dances, unusually, incorporate the characteristic cymbals (kartal or manjira) and double-headed drum (pung or Manipuri mrdanga) of sankirtan into the visual performance.

Rakesh Sharma was the first Indian to travel in Space. He was born on 13th January 1949 in Punjab; India. He flew to the Salyut 7 Space Station.In 1970; after joining the Indian Air Force as a test pilot; his passion for flying opened up several opportunities such as being a part of war operations against Pakistan. He flew various Mikoyan-Gurevich aircraft's starting from 1971. Rakesh swiftly progressed through many levels and in 1984 he was appointed as the Squadron Leader and pilot of the Indian Air Force.; He was a squadron leader with the Indian Air Force; when he flew into space in 1984 as part of a joint program between the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the Soviet Inter cosmos space program.; Sharma; then a Squadron Leader and pilot with the Indian Air Force embarked on a historic mission in 1984 as part of a joint space program between the Indian Space Research Organisation and the Soviet Inter cosmos space program; and spent eight days in space aboard the Salyut 7 space station.

Dumas Beach - A Haunted Black Sand Beach




Dumas Beach is an urban beach along the Arabian Sea located 21 kilometers southwest of Surat City in Indian state of Gujarat. This beach is famous for its black sand. It is a popular tourist destination in south Gujarat.
This area has been reported numerous of times for its paranormal activity. People have experiences with hearing strange whispers on the beach. It's like the wind around this area is full of spirits of dead people.

Dumas beach in Gujarat is one of the most haunted places in India. Hindus have a tradition of burning dead on the beach, plus spirits tend to be found more at places which are windy, and Dumas Beach is one of them. Especially at night, if you are walking towards the ocean, you'll hear noises in the wind which tells you not to go forward and go back. A number of tourists have been known to have disappeared while taking walks on the beach at night.

Bhangarh is a village in India that is famous for its historical ruins. It is in the Rajgarh MCD of the Alwar district in the state of Rajasthan. Bhangarh is at the edge of the Sariska Tiger Reserve. Bhangarh is a place between Jaipur and Alwar in Rajasthan state of India. Bhangarh is known for it’s ruins,and it’s interesting to note that entry to this “Ghost town” is legally prohibited between sunset and sunrise. In accordance with a fable, Bhangarh city was cursed by “Guru Balu Nath” who authorized the construction of the city on a major stipulation: “If the shadows of your fortress touch the prohibited area, the entire Bhangarh city will be destroyed!”. Since Ajab Singh (the grandson of Madho Singh) built a palace in such a way that the shadow of the palace reached the prohibited area, the place was cursed by Guru Balu Nath. As a result, the entire town of Bhangarh was damaged and ruined. Guru Balu Nath is believed to be resting in the same place till now in his Samadhi. Bhangarh township was established by a royal leader ‘Madho Singh’ who was the younger brother of a Mughal ruler, ‘Man Singh of Amber’.Locals refer to this place as the ‘bhoot bangla’( haunted palace/ house). The locals say the place is rife with paranormal activity. Ghosts and spirits are rumored to roam Bhangarh fort; strange noises and whole lot of weird activities have been reported by locals of the area. Locals have seen entities, ghostly apparitions, and strange lights at night and sounds of dancing emanate from the fort (there’s a dancers hall or haveli in the fort). There’s an ancient market called “Johri Bazaar” which is no longer exists but it is hearsay that it’s now a ghost market. The shops of the market used to be run by beautiful women. At night, it is said that the market is abuzz with activity.

Parshuram is the sixth avatar of Vishnu, He is son of Renuka and the saptarishi Jamadagni. He lived during the last Treta Yuga, and is one of the seven immortals or Chiranjivi, of Hinduism.
Parashurama is most known for ridding the world of kshatriyas twenty-one times over after the mighty king Kartavirya killed his father. He played important roles in the Mahabharata and Ramayana, serving as mentor to Bhishma, Karna and Drona. Parashurama also fought back the advancing seas to save the lands of Konkan, Malabar and Kerala.
